Application / Purpose:
As a specific type within the gate valve family, the cast steel gate valve is made of carbon steel and features a wedge (disc) as its closing element. The movement direction of the wedge is perpendicular to the fluid flow direction, allowing the valve to operate in fully open or fully closed positions.
Application Fields:
Carbon steel gate valves are widely utilized in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, power, construction, water supply, municipal engineering, and other fields. They are particularly suitable for pipeline systems conveying media such as water, steam, oil products, various highly corrosive chemical media, mild acid/alkali mediums, ammonia, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, liquefied gas, air, coal gas, and dust-laden gas.
